Add a little luxury to your bedroom with Rooi (review)

Rooi is the Hindi word for cotton, so it is the perfect name for a company offering the very best  Indian and Egyptian cotton linens, opulent throws and bedspreads, sophisticated candles and cushions, plus hand-decorated scarves, elegant stationery and much more. They describe themselves as a modern, East-meets-West fusion of home décor influences that reflect their own passion for luxurious fabrics and designer style.

We received some bedding from them and before I'd even laid eyes on it, I was impressed by the packaging. It came wrapped in Rooi branded paper popped inside a drawstring cotton bag. I'm not sure if this is done all the time but you can request free gift wrapping on all orders.

We received the Pip Lacy Dutch Double Duvet Cover in Lilac from Pip Studio, a design studio from Amsterdam whose motto is "happy products for happy people".

The gorgeous print features birds, flowers and butterflies in an understated lilac colour that is classic but contemporary. The fabric contains 55% linen and 45% cotton so it offers a very natural and soft touch and has a thread count of 200. It reminds me of the cool, soft feel of freshly laundered hotel sheets when they are changed every day and you get that sense of luxury that makes you feel thoroughly pampered.

The underside features a contrasting flower print which looks great if you turn down the top of the quilt, or you could even use the reverse side if you fancy a change. On both the duvet cover and the pillow cases, there are several buttons to keep everything in place. The button holes are well sewn and strongly reinforced so nothing will fray - the whole duvet set oozes a sense of luxury and high quality.

Buying a new duvet set is a simple but lovely way of giving your bedroom a quick makeover and Rooi have a lot of different designs to choose from, so it's definitely worth a look. If you sign up to their newsletter, you're entitled to a 10% discount and all UK orders have free delivery.

The duvet cover that we received is currently £48.97 (was £69.95) and the twin pack of pillow cases is £17.47 (was £24.95).

Disclosure : I received the product in order to write an honest review.
